Bruce Jensen announces the soon to be released new novel “Killer on the Train.”
A new work of suspense fiction featuring Hank Carson, a former LAPD detective, now a freelance writer with two assignments, he encounters a love interests and an unusual murder aboard the famous Wine Train.
Prior to retirement from the LAPD, Hank Carson spent much of his time in therapy sessions, dining out, visiting museums and plain old boredom.
Now he doesn’t miss being a homicide detective, but not a day goes by when he doesn’t think about it. The horrific side of human behavior had a strange attraction, and, while he’s glad that’s gone, he can’t help but reflect on the career he left behind.
In his nine years with the LAPD Hank dealt with crime corruption, mayhem and gang violence. On disability, he finally has the time to experience the wonders that this country has to offer. He’s become a freelance writer, traveling the country in his RV, along with his loyal companion, a seven-year-old black Lab named Molly.
As a freelance writer, Hank Carson covers popular tourist events for national magazines. While on assignment, he stumbles into a case revolving around the mysterious death of a prominent food critic. Throughout this novel, he is faced with several venues, a murder, many possible suspects, and extraordinary solutions.
The death and investigation are interspersed with moments of intrigue, suspense, depression, seduction, ecstasy, love and joy. A romantic encounter has a profound effect on him and his love interest . . .
This is the first of a series of novels where retired detective, Hank Carson, gets involved with intriguing mysteries.
Bruce has finished the Killer on the Train novel with the release SOON.
